Arabia Taxi Dubai

Offices, contacts and the green-roof fleet: who owns Arabia Taxi, where each of its offices is across the UAE, and which number actually books a car or logs a complaint in 2026.

Not the operator: Gulf Chauffeur arranges pre-booked private cars and has no tie to Arabia Taxi, Economic Group Holdings or any UAE transport regulator. Every address and number on this page was copied from the operator's own contact pages or a regulator's site in October 2026. Ring an office before you travel to it.

Who Runs Arabia Taxi?

Arabia Taxi is a private taxi franchise that began in Dubai in 2005 and belongs to Economic Group Holdings (EGH), a family-owned group founded and chaired by Sheikh Majid Bin Hamad Al Qassimi. It is often searched as Arabian Taxi, but the name on its licences, cars and website is Arabia Taxi. It holds franchises from the transport regulators of several emirates, and each one is run as a separate local company with its own office and phone line.

EGH lists its taxi businesses as Arabia Taxi L.L.C in Dubai, Arabia Taxi Transportation L.L.C in Abu Dhabi, Arabia Taxi in Ajman, Al Arabia Taxi and Al Hamra Taxi in Ras Al Khaimah, and Citi Taxi and Union Taxi in Sharjah. Press coverage of the company's August 2026 Bolt agreement put the group's total at more than 7,800 taxis across the UAE and named Rawoof Ali as Arabia Taxi's executive director. The operator's own website still uses an older group name, Arabia Holdings.

Where Is the Arabia Taxi Office in Dubai?

Arabia Taxi's Dubai office is in Umm Ramoul (also spelled Umm Ramool), Rashidiya, with the postal address P.O. Box 35598, Dubai, and the phone number +971 4 285 5566. Those details come from the company's own Dubai contact page. The email [email protected] is listed on the company's contact pages too, but phone first: the group website on that domain has been showing a maintenance notice, so use email only for anything you want on record afterwards.

No opening hours are published for Umm Ramoul. The company's offices in Ajman and Abu Dhabi both state 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, but the Dubai page gives no hours at all, so call before you make the trip.

The office runs the company's drivers, fleet and corporate business, and sells advertising on its cars through Synergy Arabia FZ LLC, which the operator calls part of Arabia Taxi (our guide to advertising on Dubai taxis explains how such campaigns are bought). It does not dispatch taxis or record official complaints: in Dubai that is the RTA's job, as the licensing authority for every franchise.

Directory sites list other, sometimes contradictory, numbers under the Arabia Taxi name; we print only what the operator publishes.

Ajman was one of the company's first markets: Arabia Taxi says it began there in 2005 with franchise rights for 400 taxis. The emirate's booking line, apps and fares are covered on our Ajman taxi number page.

In Abu Dhabi, the business goes back to the 2007 tender for the emirate's new taxi network. When the regulator named seven franchise winners that June, one of them was a joint venture of Arabia Taxi and Al Masaood Q-Link Transport. Arabia Taxi Transportation now serves both Abu Dhabi city and Al Ain, which lies inside Abu Dhabi emirate.

Ras Al Khaimah has two group companies at one address on Khuzzam Road. According to the operator, Al Arabia Taxi RAK started in 2008 with 500 taxis, and Al Hamra Taxi followed in 2011 as a partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Transport Investment, with 230 taxis. Sharjah is different again: the group trades there as Citi Taxi and Union Taxi, both licensed by the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and our page on Citi Taxi and Union Taxi in Sharjah lists their offices.

How Do You Spot an Arabia Taxi?

In Dubai, look for a green roof. Licensed Dubai taxis share one cream body, and the roof colour shows which franchise runs the car: green for Arabia Taxi, red for Dubai Taxi Company, and a different shade for each remaining operator, as set out in our guide to Dubai taxi roof colours. The green marks the owner, not the engine or a price tier.

The car under that roof varies. In April 2023 Arabia Taxi agreed with Tesla Motors Dubai to add 269 Model 3 cars to its Dubai fleet, and its chairman said at the time that 83 percent of the company's Dubai cars already used hybrid engines. The order was framed around the RTA's goal of an environmentally friendly Dubai taxi fleet by 2027.

The roof code is a Dubai system. In Abu Dhabi and Al Ain every franchise uses the same silver livery with a yellow roof sign, so the car itself will not tell you it belongs to Arabia Taxi; the taxi number on your receipt will.

How Big Is Arabia Taxi?

Arabia Taxi runs roughly 1,600 taxis in Dubai. When Dubai Taxi Company and Bolt signed their agreement with the company in August 2026, the fleet being added to the Bolt app was 1,607 cars, and Gulf News described Arabia Taxi as one of the emirate's leading franchise operators, active in Dubai for more than two decades.

The Dubai fleet was built up in stages. The company says its 2005 franchise covered 500 taxis, with rights to 271 more awarded in 2007 and 155 more in 2013, plus one taxi for passengers with special needs. By 30 June 2023 it owned 1,559 Dubai taxis, about 13 percent of the city's fleet, which ranked it fourth of the five franchise operators, according to company figures in FAB Securities' research on Dubai Taxi Company's stock market listing.

The field has narrowed since then. Dubai Taxi Company completed its purchase of National Taxi on 8 July 2026, so two of the five franchises now share an owner; the deal and what it changed for passengers are covered on our National Taxi Dubai page.

How Do You Book an Arabia Taxi?

In Dubai, not by phone. Arabia Taxi's Dubai web page still shows 04 208 0808 as its taxi booking number, but that was the RTA's central dispatch line. The RTA moved all taxi booking and dispatch to Hala, its joint venture with Careem, and its own announcement refers to 04 208 0808 as the number customers used to call; the switch was completed in January 2020.

Two methods work now: flag down a green roof with its sign lit, or book on Bolt, where the August 2026 agreement is bringing Arabia Taxi's 1,607 cars into the pool. Bolt also dispatches Dubai Taxi Company cars, so a booking can arrive with a red roof, on the same RTA meter. Until July 2023, Hala held exclusive e-hailing rights for all five Dubai franchises, which kept Arabia Taxi off other apps.

Elsewhere, the operator's regional pages point to each emirate's own line. Numbers starting 800 are free; 600 numbers cost a normal call.

Who Handles Complaints and Lost Property?

The regulator in each emirate, not Arabia Taxi's office. In Dubai the company's own website points complaints and suggestions to 800 90 90, the RTA call centre, and the RTA kept lost and found cases on that line when booking moved to Hala. Callers outside the UAE can use +971 4 605 1414, written complaints go to [email protected], and the RTA's WhatsApp channel is +971 58 800 9090.

In Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Mobility's toll free line 800 555 handles enquiries, feedback and complaints, the Abu Dhabi Taxi call centre answers on 600 535 353, and Arabia Taxi Transportation takes complaints and suggestions on +971 2 558 8099. In Ajman, the operator's 600 599 997 line covers complaints, and the government call centre on 80070 connects you to Ajman's government departments. In Ras Al Khaimah, RAKTA's 800 1700 is the route.

Give the taxi number from your receipt or app history, the date, the time and both ends of the trip, and in Dubai mention the green roof, which narrows the search to one company. Our Dubai taxi lost and found guide covers the recovery steps, cash fares included.

What Does an Arabia Taxi Ride Cost?

Exactly what any other licensed taxi charges for the same trip. In Dubai the RTA sets one tariff for every franchise and revises it in line with fuel prices, so a green roof costs the same as a red one; in Ajman, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate's own regulated meter applies. Arabia Taxi publishes no fares of its own.

One airport rule matters more than the meter: only Dubai Taxi Company may pick up taxi passengers at Dubai's airports, so no green roof waits in the DXB arrivals queue, though an Arabia Taxi can drop you at departures.

When Booking Ahead Beats Waiting for a Green Roof

An Arabia Taxi is a perfectly good way to cross Deira or get home from a mall. It is a weaker choice when the clock matters: no Dubai phone booking, no airport pickup, and an app that may assign another company's car. For a dawn departure, a family landing with heavy bags or a meeting in Abu Dhabi, a car arranged in advance removes those unknowns.

Gulf Chauffeur sends a named driver to your door or the arrivals hall at the agreed time, with the fixed price confirmed on WhatsApp before you travel. Send your pickup point, destination and time for a quote.

Arabia Taxi FAQ

Where is the Arabian Taxi office in Dubai?

Arabia Taxi LLC gives its Dubai office as Umm Ramoul, Rashidiya, P.O. Box 35598, phone +971 4 285 5566. The email [email protected] is listed on the company's contact pages, but call first: no Dubai opening hours are published. The office handles company business only. A complaint about a ride or a lost item goes to the RTA on 800 90 90.

Who owns Arabia Taxi?

Economic Group Holdings (EGH), a family-owned UAE group founded in 2005 and chaired by its founder, Sheikh Majid Bin Hamad Al Qassimi. EGH lists Arabia Taxi companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ajman, Al Arabia Taxi and Al Hamra Taxi in Ras Al Khaimah, and Citi Taxi and Union Taxi in Sharjah. Gulf News put the group's fleet at more than 7,800 taxis across the UAE in August 2026.

What colour are Arabia Taxi cars?

In Dubai, an Arabia Taxi has a green roof on the cream body shared by every licensed Dubai taxi. The colour identifies the franchise, not a premium class, and the meter matches a red-roof Dubai Taxi Company cab. The car may be a hybrid saloon or one of the 269 Tesla Model 3s ordered in 2023. Outside Dubai the roof code does not apply.

What is the Arabia Taxi number in Ajman?

Arabia Taxi's Ajman page lists 600 599 997 for bookings and complaints, charged as a normal call. The Ajman office is in the Al Musarif Commercial Area, P.O. Box 6555, on +971 6 740 8000, open 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and that line is for administration rather than rides. Gulf News describes the Route app as Ajman's official app for booking public taxis.

Can I book an Arabia Taxi by phone in Dubai?

No. The 04 208 0808 number still printed on Arabia Taxi's Dubai web page was the RTA's central booking line, and the RTA moved booking and dispatch to Hala in the Careem app in January 2020. Hail a green roof instead, or open Bolt, which is taking on the company's 1,607 taxis under an August 2026 agreement. Bolt may still send another franchise's car.

Does Arabia Taxi operate in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain?

Yes, as Arabia Taxi Transportation L.L.C, based at Umm Al Nar, P.O. Box 111126. Its line +971 2 558 8099 takes complaints and suggestions; bookings go through the Abu Dhabi Taxi call centre on 600 535 353. The company entered the emirate through the 2007 franchise tender, when its joint venture with Al Masaood Q-Link Transport was one of seven winners.
